Last night we were treated to an intimate Robyn performance at the PC Richardson theater in NYC! GET INTO ROBYN!!
Robin Miriam Carlsson, better known by her stage name Robyn (born 12 June 1979) is a Swedish recording artist and singer-songwriter. Robyn was known in the late nineties for her dance-pop hits “Show Me Love” and “Do You Know (What It Takes)”. She has since started to gain mainstream success worldwide owing to the popularity of her No. 1 hit single “With Every Heartbeat” and subsequent album release.

A forgotten classic in the Muppets oeuvre, The Great Muppet Caper stars Kermit and Fozzie as investigative reporters on the trail of jewel thief Charles Grodin. John Cleese and Peter Falk make cameos, but it’s Animal who steals the show with the rousing boogie “Night Life.”

SUE CLOWES

SUE CLOWES saw herself essentially as a textile designer, but was fortunate enough to parade her first collection across our TV screens in 81 when Boy George and Culture Club wore her designs printed with iconoclastic images of Judaism and Catholicism. Her designs became an instant hit with teenyboppers and fashion editors and were copied worldwide.

NYC HISTORY: TUNNEL NIGHTCLUB

Tunnel was a large NYC nightclub with multiple rooms on several levels. It was located at 269 11th Ave (between 27th and 28th Street) in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. Opened in early 1987 by Peter Gatien and Denis Werner, the club was named for the train tracks from the early 1900s that ran through a sunken area of the main dance floor, which had formerly been a loading dock. These were left over from the period earlier in the century when railroad sidings ran directly into warehouse buildings in that area of Manhattan.

MONTANA IS A.OK

Claude Montana is a French fashion designer, known for his refined, figure-hugging designs, in lightweight materials or heavy leather. He is sometimes jokingly known as the “King of Shoulder Pads” for the aggressive shapes for women he created in the 1980s. In the middle of the 1990s, Montana’s orchestrated and aggressive style became outdated, as it appeared difficult to translate the force of the successful bold lines into the softer trends. Even though the more casual and commercial Montana BLU collection was softer in line, it was not the success the company hoped for. The House of Montana, founded in 1979, went bankrupt in 1997.
